What can I say that hasn’t been said already. I’m not good at reviews, so I’ll just say a few words that I think of when I listen to the great Van Morrison… Joy Brilliance Pain Gratitude Summertime First Love Slow Dancing Also: How I can’t sing and my neighbors thinking the same most likely, but who cares. You cannot listen to Van Morrison and not sing!

Just because something is conventional wisdom doesn't make it true. So someone once said or wrote that this was one of the greatest albums ever and so that's what people kept repeating and believing. This was an album of its time. I listen to it now--meandering self-indulgent lyrics, Van Morrison's nasal self-important attack on EVERY line and melodies that start and just go and go and go and then end--and wonder what was all the fuss about? "Brown Eyed Girl" was great track. This album is like being stuck in a room full of English majors at the professor's house.

Closer to religion than Christianity, for me—my favorite album.

I agree... arguably his best album, why is this one not mastered for iTunes?

Classic album! But why isn't this Mastered for iTunes like the rest of his recently released catalogue? How does this version differ from the other version of Astral Weeks currently on iTunes?
