I listen to this album from Apple 🍎 music and I just can’t download it because I already have all of the songs from the original Luther Vandross. I don’t believe I could listen to Ruben’s Version over the original. HOWEVER I AM A FAN OF RUBEN from when I voted for him on American Idol. Some songs of Luther Vandross, Ruben can nail to the cross, but I think Ruben can be a much BIGGER superstar in his own right by singing his own original song. 💞
Thank you using REAL musicians an instruments on this album. It’s so pleasing to my ears and soul. ❤️

Can't fault the brother's voice. I do feel that his renditions of these songs are to close to the originals. The genius of Luther was that he would take a previous recorded song and "Lutherize" it. Examples; Ben E, King's I Who Have Nothing, Marvin & Tammi's If This World Was Mine, Curtis MayFields Never Let Me Go, The Temptations' Since I Lost My Baby, Little Anthony's Going Out Of My Head and of course Dionne's A House Is Not A Home

Ruben....I have been saying since Luther left this earth, the only person that would do Luther some justice would be you. I'm elated that you completed this project. Luther and Ms.Ida are smiling at you. You stayed true to yourself but you complemented Luther in every facet of this project. Your professionalism and musicality is amazing. Kudos and I'm glad you completed a new project. Now, next you will need to do a Luther duet with some of those are that are currently living before it's too late.

Not only does Ruben embody Luther’s spirit when he sings these songs, the music production staff KILLED (sorry, my excitement over took me) the music. Keeping Luther Vandross’s feel and sound, but adding their on little flair which puts this album over the top. Ruben, everybody has been asking and you delivered! I throughly enjoy this album, I see myself having several songs on repeat. Oh and yes sir I do hear “My Love” in the background of “Never Too Much”.
