I grew up on this album in the 90s even... I listen every year and it brings me back every time! Love! Love! Love!

I'm 53, and anyone close to my age remembers this album being the defacto music for christmas. Still holds up although traditional...give me this over any of the new stuff....
  • All Christmas albums should be judged against this one.

The way christmas should be. Really unearths the feeling of being a kid of the late 60s and early 70s.

Christmas just wouldn't be the same without Ray Conniff and the Ray Conniff singers! These are great songs to really get a person in the Holiday Spirit! I have such fond memories of my childhood (early '70s) listening to these songs, and now my two young sons sing along as well. My 2 year old sounds like Elmer Fudd on Winter Wonderland "as we dweam, by the fywere...." and it's great! One of the best and a classic to be enjoyed along with the other timeless ones.....

I first heard this album from an old record of my grandmothers, first heard it back in the 70's when I was a child. This brings back so many good memories, listening to this. I miss my grandma (granny) and this is a must have in my holiday library. Glad it's on ITunes.

... this album (now CD) has meant "It's Christmastime!". My aunts and uncles played it to usher in Christmas, when it was released in Nov of '59 (my 1st grade year), and every year thereafter. Almost all of my family is gone, now, but when I hear this wonderful CD, we're together again for a little while. When a record can bring back sweet memories and still sound fresh and joyous, it's a wonderful thing. The Ray Conniff Singers are old friends whose arrival is most welcome. For secular Christmas sounds, you won't find a better collection anywhere.

This cd personifies Christmas to me! I remember my Dad playing the album when I was a kid in the early 70's - it got pretty worn out over the years, so we were THRILLED to find the cd version! These songs bring back so many wonderful memories - I know every do-wah by heart! ALL the songs are wonderful, but some of my favorites are "Christmas Bride," "Here Comes Santa Claus," and "White Christmas." Buy this cd - you won't be disappointed!

Ahhh... close your eyes and remember when Ray Conniff's music and such wonderful albums like this used to be commonplace. The British Light Music Industry really set the musical spirit of the age and never gets the recognition that it deserves.

This record brings back memories of everything that is great about the beautiful Christmas Season, love and warmth! I remember my mother had this record back when I was a baby in the 60's and literally wore it out from playing it so much!! Naturally she was so delighted when it came out on cd in the late 90's. My mom has since passed and I had trouble listening to this record since but last year I put in on and as the many tears flowed, the beautiful memories came flowing back listening to these great Conniff Singers with Ray's brilliant arrangements. These songs are all great with not one clinker that is bound to happen on a Christmas album.....just give a listen to "Christmas Bride" a wonderful tune..the only unfortunate thing here is that the Itunes disc does not include the amazing version of "Greensleeves (What Child is This?) that the cd has! This disc along with Sinatra's, Nat King Cole's, Dean Martin's and Perry Como's belong in everybodys Christmas disc collection!
