Only two reviews for this album, unbelievable. Why Natalie has never won a Grammy is beyond me. Best song - Gulf of Araby...probably my favorite "live" song from any artist - of all time.

I was at this very show back in 1999. I've seen a lot of performers and performances, but none that have left the audience as in awe as Merchant did that night. Its hard to capture the physicality that she brings live, but the audio on this album is tremendous and pieces like The Gulf of Araby and Space Oddity are stunning. If you know her, you probably have this already. If you don't know her or don't have this, you should.
Put on the headphones and listen to the brilliant sound

After Ophelia, I was beginning to think that she had lost the brilliance of all that is Natalie. I saw her in concert, and after a short while purchased this CD. The Tigerlilly Songs are even more incredible live than they are in the studio. The musicianship is top notch, she shocked me with her cover of "Space Oddity" and gave it new life for me. The more folky "Dust Bowl", "The Gulf of Araby" are now among my favorites, and "Ophelia" which I thought was lacking, is just incredible. This is the CD that I find myself always reaching for when I want to be remember that Natalie will always be the incredible songwriter and performer of her time. And what a voice!!!
