His Best Album

I first bought this LP in the 60s when I was a teen - owned it right up until last year, when I finally went all digital. These are the original - and best - recordings. I have been a huge fan of Pitney's all my life and finally got to shake his hand about 6 months before he died. His voice will never be equalled! BTW, "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence" WASN'T used in the movie. Burt Bacharach and Hal David, who collaborated with Pitney on a lot of his music, wrote it AFTER they saw the movie! And it became a bigger hit than anything in the movie.

This music expresses a depth of feeling and story telling at its best in the history of music.
