If you have seen Bette Midler live in concert, one of her dynamic shows, this CD reminds me of just that. Filled with genuine songs and an arrangement that you typically will only experience with this artist in a live show. A lot of heart & soul in this CD.

This cd is simply amazing. Funny upbeat songs such as I'm Beautiful and Big Sox are great fun. The ballads One True Friend & That's How Love Moves are beautifully crafted. One of my personal favorites is I Sold My Heart to The Junkman. This cd has one song on it that is a classic. Never have I heard a song about adoption sung from the birth mothers point of view. The song is powerful and truly beautiful. LULLABY IN BLUE is amazing. This cd is not just classic Bette Midler, it is a more mature Midler with depth and sensitivity of emotion.

This is one of her best albums ever. It's equal parts fun and serious. We play this at my friends' house every time I visit, so I have very fond memories of this album. Her other hit is I'm Beautiful, but every song is worthy of being a single, especially That's How Love Moves and Big Socks. I'm sad it didn't go much further than it did. I think more people should give it a try.
