What's great about Patton making film scores is that it's so obvious from his Fantomas work that he would blow the proverbial doors off of Hollywood music treatments. I truly hold this (simply my own opinion here jaded superfans) to be the 5th Fantomas album I own. The short but intense, mood spazing, highs and lows are quite similar, and while these tracks are ment to actually accompany a film, I couldn't care less if I ever saw the thing. The album itself is like a jungle gym of awesome, and while many are simply mood filler ambience, even they are not throw away tracks. Buy this if you are as big a Pattonophile as I am or if you have a road trip coming up. Great beginning-to-end listen!

This soundtrack is a wonderful deal for anyone who enjoys Mike Patton or enjoyed the over the top action film Crank: High Voltage. Patton has taken a similar path from a Perfect Place by taking a simple melody and expanding it to all hell while also using his circuit bent toys for flavor. Some of the songs are short but it is a soundtrack...$10.00=32 tracks isn't bad I'll say 4 stars I really enjoy how fun this CD is

This music is not for chillin' or listening to around other humanoids as you won't find anyone in your state who would like it, too, unless you're a regular drug abuser. So, assuming you're just into this music and not a drug addict, get in your car, play it and drive like a madman. Enjoy some Barry White on your way home so you're tolerable by the time you return. Good $hit.

I know it is absolutely pathetic that a man who has lived nearly 40 years in the greatest country on the planet should get so depressed during the gaps between Mike Patton albums, but I don't even notice it when I'm in the throes of the funk. I don't writhe around naked in a corner coated in crisco oil screaming WHY between painful crying jags, and I never will reach that point. When I finally have one of his compositions ringing in my ear, however, I realize how much precious time I've wasted screaming at pinecones just to get a reaction, just to feel something. I guess what I'm saying is that you probably shouldn't come to this feller for objectivity on anything that has Mike Patton's name on it. Cheese and crackers this thing is good though. The opening track Kickin' is a punk song with just a hint of Patton's vocals playing in the distance. Chickenscratch is the next out of this world composition. Doc Miles, Social Club, Chocolate Theme, Shock and Shootout, Sping Loaded, Catalina Island, Supercharged, and what may be the best track on the album Hammer Drops. If you're not into the entire album, and most of the 32 tracks are atmospheric, then just download these. You can hear the Ennio Morrcone influence, but Great Gretzky's ghost it's original. It has a vibe that most artists would give their left one to hammer out, but Mike Patton appears to do it effortlessly. It tops his "Perfect Place" sountrack by a mile, and I really liked that, but then again I'm far from objective.
  • this album is DOPE!

There just are not words to describe or explain how insanely cool these tunes are. Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Etc) is a genius. This just may be the freshest soundtrack to be released in a long time! I can not wait to see the film!
