Man, everything about this album is SO GOOD. The style, instrumentation, production quality, melodies, harmonies, you name it. However, the vocals are weak. The vocal melodies are wonderful, but the vocals are just flat. And hence, this potential masterpiece is forgotten.
Amazing

This guy has so much talent it is really sad that radio is filled with crap and all the real artist are stuck in the background.. I really truly believe that music
is making a comeback for all the grown ups..

Great reconfiguration of classic 60s & 70s soul which honors the past but with a very contemporary and smooth feel . Smart songs great hooks and amazing vocals. Neo Soul never sounded so good.
I love it!

I really love the song "Just ain't Gonna Work Out"! Why can't there be more music like this nowadays?

This just happen to be the album I heard snippets from and wasn't feeling them. One thing I can't deny is a keen attention to the sound he was trying to create with this album. It's good...but not enough to make me want to buy it. Now his latest album "How Do You Do" is another story.

Now why can't we have more artists like him in the forefront without all of this techno/autotune crap? Mayer is good and like others like Syleena Johnson, Anthony Hamilton, etc are so underrated and that's not fair.
