The sound track is awesome. I can listen to it and picture the whole movie in my mind - except the “fire swamp” and “guide my sword” should be in that order.

When my girls were little, they watched The Princess Bride, over and over and over. They can recite every song and dialog. Now, they aren't little. My oldest is marrying and has choosen Storybook Love for the Bride and Grooms Dance. My husband and I will cry ourselves stupid when it begins. Carry us in you hearts on Oct. 14th, will you. I sort of feel that its the song of my girls childhood.
Mark Knopfler Just Amazes Me

I have been a fan of Knopfler for years, picking up each album he has produced as they were released. He has done sound tracks for other movies as well, but somehow I never learned he had done the work on The Pricess Bride. I don't know how I could have missed that but I did. As I listen to it I am reminded of his depth of skill. I have always really been a fan of his lyrical work, not instrumental work, a matter of personal style not a comment on his skill to be sure. But as I listen to this I am amazed again to be reminded just how skilled he really is even in scoring work so far outside of what I normally think of when thinking of Mark Knopfler.

I have loved this movie since I was a young child. The song, storybook love, is still one of my most cherished favorites and brings back memories of my first love every time I hear it!

I REALLY wish they would make the first track available as a ringtone!!! I hate most ringtones, and I don't want some crappy popular artist ringtone... I would LOVE to have that track as my ringtone...

I absolutely love this movie and have watched it literally dozens of times. The standout tracks here are 1, 8, 11 and especially 12. The remainder are by no means bad, each vividly reminding me of particular parts as the movie plays out on my own mental moviescreen. One thing I noticed listening here is how... simplistic and/or minimalist the music is when not actually watching the movie. This is not necessarily a negative comment, just an observation.

My wife to be and I attended opening night of the movie in Atlanta. They gave us 45 rpm singles of Storybook Love which I still have. Nice to get it now in digital form!
