  • One of the best trumpet players ever.

Huge sound, Always tight! These guys were the benchmark for every other trumpet section to be measured against. AS I learned and grew my skills as a trumpet player, he was always the high water mark to be measured against.

Saw Chase in 1974 on "tour" for this album, in a high school auditorium in '74. Absolutely blew the roof off the place. I was 14 and never have seen anything since that amazing. Backup trumpeter came to visit our stage band soon after Chase died & did me the courtesy of signing my album.

This is surely Chase's best, and at its very low price a must have for anyone who loves this type of fusion. Just an amazing talent that was taken from us far too soon. It strikes me how this music doesn't lose a thing after all of these years. An absolutely wonderful slice of jazz fusion history, even if the label says Pop.

I have enjoyed listening to this record for over 35 years...they made a name for themselves behind Bill Chase's leadership...solid musicianship...a couple of Jim Peterik assists and some jazzy tunes...some of the synths will date this record but they're representative of when this album was recorded..."Twinkles" is Bill Chase at his sultry best...at $4.99 you can't beat it...
