Where has Todd Carey been all my life? I just crossed paths with his music a couple months ago, and I'm hooked. Todd Carey's voice is perfectly matched with his soulful lyrics, and fine-tuned compositions. Watching Waiting is perfection, plain and simple. Todd Carey has a natural star ability to take you along on life's ride and let you off just where you want to be. Musical life is much, much richer since I found this Artist! T. Duncan

Watching Waiting was the first exposure I had to Todd's music almost four years ago, and after the first few notes I was hooked and downloaded the whole album. I found his music to be honest and open, telling stories that may or may not be about the life he's led. I felt like I was getting to know Todd through his songs and knew I'd stumbled across a great songwriter. His music makes me smile and to this day almost every song on this album sits in my Current Favorites playlist on my iPod. If you're wondering where to start in listening to samples - if you don't just want to take my word for it! - I'd start by listening to Photograph. It's my absolute favorite Todd Carey song (also check out the version on Revolving World...different and still awesome). Next I'd check out Masterpiece and then Smile (with the lovely Sara Bareilles). And if you wanna have a little fun, definitely check out Back Off Baby. Believe me, you won't regret listening to anything on this album. It's all good. So what are you waiting for? Go get it!!

...and download this! It's a re-release from a few years ago, but still very relevant. The first three tracks are three of my all-time favorite songs. One warning. These tunes are very catchy and you may find yourself singing them all day long.

I just stumbled upon the re-release of this 2007 LP. Hearing it again now emboldens me to apply the word "Classic" here. It's rare to hear this type of energy, song craft, and performance burst forth from a debut record. The production is class A. Listening now, I hear the 1,2,3 Pop Punch gems of "Ain't Got Love", "Back off Baby", and "Friday Night". Moving from love anthem, to a song about stalkers, to the tag line "Friday night don't start till Saturday Morning". The 4th track, "Smile" features vocals from superstar Sara Bareilles, and the title track "Watching Waiting" continues to be one of my all time favorite songs. "Falling from Grace" channels raw emotion, and "King of Cliche'" hints at Todd's little known guitar mastery. The record also feature a remake of "Photograph". Finally the album sends you on your way with the beautiful and fitting "Goodbye to Another One". A MUST HAVE.
