LOVE, love, love this album of live music! Her rich voice and new production makes for more of her great music--I can never get enough of Basia's heart soaring music!

I have seen Basia twice in New York City since she released "It's That Girl Again" and both shows were nothing short of wonderful. This album captures the spirit of those performances. My only complaint with this album are the omitted songs: the scaled down version of "Yearning" should have been included as well as "It's That Girl Again." Standouts on this album include "Love Lies Bleeding" "New Day for You" and "A Gift".
  • Exceptional sound!

This is what a live recording of a talented artist should sound like! The quality of the musicians is remarkable. Flawless playing and singing without lots of processing... The ambience of the audience is just enough to let you know it is live, but not at all distracting. The songs are as fresh on this recording as when they were released previously. Basia's vocal range and pitch are remarkable. Having seen her live, this recording is a very good representation of what the performance sounds like. A must have for Jazz fans and those who appreciate excellent recording.

To her fan's frustrations Basia is one artist that is not exactly prolific in the studio. This cd satisfies all around, live versions of her hits and at the close of this cd, three studio tracks. Basia's voice has matured a bit but she still has power, these live recordings from various locations segued to create one long concert features songs from all her solo recordings going back to her solo debut "Time And Tide." "How Dare You" from "Time And Tide" was a rather noisy dance/pop/jazz fusion thing but here it's straight-ahead jazz swing, backing singers replace Basia's stacked vocals on this and all the live tracks so there isn't a taped backing track and that freedom allows for vocal improv, and there's plenty of it. Basia sounds at ease here and performs the songs as easily as she breathes. The audience is totally respectful and keeps the applause at the end of the performance and makes no noise during the songs. For the noise factor alone I shy away from live albums but this one made me want to buy it, that and this is Basia.

It's that girl again! O.K., turth be told, I'd prefer an album of new material but it's always great to hear Basia's voice. It's also refreshing to hear some of these classics updated and changed in interesting ways.
