Not the best band, but if it wasn't for Far Cry 4 I never would have found them.
  • Rat Patrol-Lost Combat Rock Mixes

I had a copy of the Combat Rock alternative mixes, also known as Rat Patrol. Joe Strummer gave them to me on tour in 1983. They were raw and on a Maxell II casette tape, but I have to tell you, they were great ! Missing Alan Ginsburg voice over, totally different lyrics and tempos, if my old employers at CBS Records (now SONY) ever release it, it would be incredible.
  • I've yet to get it but about Cut The Crap

For the one complaining about Cut The Crap not being there, this box set was remastered by Mick Jones and that was the only album he was not in because he left the band. He has said this is the last time he will be involved with any releases dealing with The Clash. So before complaining about it being one album short do your research.

Once again, where is Cut the Crap? Not a great record, but neither was Combat Rock. Certainly worthy of inclusion, considering it was a studio album under the moniker of The Clash, and this is "the definitive collection".
  • Great Remaster

The sound in these recordings are excellent. These remastered versions are worth the price. A great audio experience. I never heard The Clash albums sound this perfectly.
  • great but not perfect

remastered tracks sound super clean so it's probably worth buying if you are a real fan and can withstand the nosebleed price. however, it's missing a lot of miscellaneous tracks, such as the full set of alternative versions of the combat rock songs known as the Rat Patrol at Fort Bragg bootleg, the extra tracks on the 25th anniversary london calling, etc. a real disappointment in my book, especially if you were looking to become a completest through 1 purchase. the packaging is huge and looks exactly like you expect from the original album packaging and classic look and feel of the band.

A hundred bucks. One of the most expensive items I've seen on iTunes... So crazy. I know the music is good but great Scott, London is Calling!
