Hard for me to hear this as a followup to the Timeless record. In my mind, these are bland readings of these tunes, and as if the artist and producer recognized such a problem, every track is appointed with a signature Martina belt-it-out line that, to me, sounds as packaged as can be. Too bad for a singer of the pedigree.

There are some real gems on this album! My favorites are "Little Bit of Rain", "Do Right Woman, Do Right Man", "I've Been Loving You Too Long", "By Your Side". iTunes include a remake of Pink's "Perfect". I couldn't imagine that I would like a country singer remaking this song, but I do!!!! I love this version as well as the original. They are just different. But thus version has a real rhythm to it and she sings it in a range that is easy for me to sing along with. Beautiful album!

I remember being 8 years old watching Martina’s video “ The time has come” and i said this girls going to be a huge star. I have been a fan since. I’m now 29. Martina’s music has made a huge impact in my life. and the album “EVERLASTING” Is a great album many classic hits . Way to go Martina McBride. I love your soulful voice and beautiful smile.
