Acoustic artists are finally coming back (part of the whole 'music is cyclical thing'). Be Here Now is probably the more well known single, but, in reality, the best song on the album by far is Which Way Your Heart Will Go - simply beautiful. If you wanna do yourself a favor, start buying Mason's stuff up. It's all simply, sparse, and great to listen to. Just enough harmonic complexity to keep you engaged, but all the songs are suited perfectly to there arrangements. The album is great.

so far in Mason's career I would say that boneclouds is his masterpiece. the opener is upbeat and beautifully crafted from very sweet lyrics. the gem for me though is 'some say i'm not'. how the hell anyone can come up with a sound like that is totally and completely beyond me but that song is on my top 100. if you like this style of music check out three flights from alto nido by greg laswell.

CD is like a carefree afternoon exploring new roads while lost in thought. Lou Reed similarity with an occasionally dose of Dylan like inflections with a good feelin' vibe. Check out Jackson Square and Which Way Your Heart Will Go and the transition surprise to the 80's New Order-esque start on Where the Sun had Been. This is a great CD !!

Wow! I don't know how i even discovered this but I'm really excited, because i haven't heard great new music in a long time. This album is great but personally i think that "In the Ever" is waaaaay better. Mason jennings truly is amazing and he reminds me so much of So CAL!!! I want to see him in concert!!! I've heard that, that is a real show!! :)

Mason Jennings, the heartfelt ironist and craftsman, takes it up a notch here. "Some Say I"m Not" is worthy of our best poets and musicians and a banging good time. The sound is the richest and deepest he has yet rendered. Makes one hungry for more, and more.

This is a really creative album and Mason Jennings does a really good job creating a new sound with each track. Relly original sound and simple but impressive guitar.

Mason Jennings is a great song writer, and this album proves he's growing with his music. I'm not a music critic, but this is by far one of the best albums he's put together (in my opinion, of course.) Must haver songs: "Be Here Now", "Some Say I'm Not", "If You Need a Reason", "Jesus Are You Real"...Buy the EP-If You Need a Reason...ALL THE SONGS ARE AH-MAZE-ING!
