Mason Jennings is so innovative, I have always like Mason Jennings but my only complaint was that he didn't do enough piano on his albums and then he goes and does a piano based record got to love it. My only complaint about this record is that its a little too short I found my self craving more when it was over but all in all its a great album.
  • No better songer writer out now like the Mason

Sounds like Mason has dusted off some Paul McCartney Albums before writting these songs. Great songs, great song writting, great melodies. Lyrics like always top notch. Clutch is such a catchy melody and just is fun and Wake Up may hit a little close to home but a insightful self help song of facing your demons. I can not wait to see him in Cincinnati this week. Only complaint a short album, but I guess it is not quantity but .....

Each album brings in something that was not happening before. Mason's music is so versatile yet familiar. The feeling of each album is different with the same talent. I feel attached to Mason's music some how. The first time I heard his music was when a friend of mine put in the self titled album as we drove up the Gunflint trail in Minnesota. Of course this album is appropriately named. Thanks for the great music Mason!

I've been listening to Jennings for 10+ years now, every since I was in 8th grade. My first conert was Mason with his band at the Maintanence Shop at ISU, a small intimate venue where he blew the lid off the place with The Mountain. His devotion as a singer/songwriter continues in this ablum but with more of an optimistic melanchony that is catchy as it is heartfelt. He always samples his knowledge from Love and Religion and explores these issues as well as other that provide a wonderful and new message they listener may have never been exposed to. Keep on providing the good tunes Mason, look forward to your next release.

Once again, great album by Mr. Jennings. Not sure why people try to compare him to other artists. Awesomely unique sound and always enjoyable for continuous listening for days on end. well done.

A musical genius among men! You can always relate to Mason's lyrics. His choice of words along with mood of music are always mind blowingingly perfect! Wake Up speaks pure truth! A hero of mine he is indeed.

I've been streaming this off of Paste's website for the last couple of weeks. I couldn't wait to be able to download it and take it with me. Mason Jennings delivers another awesome album that feels like his old stuff and shows where he's at now. Going to see him on Sunday in Cleveland. He's a great live performer.
