Old-timey charm meets heartbreaking poignancy meets fantastic modern relevance meets wildly under appreciated brilliance. Don't hesitate on M Ward -- jump in, the water's amazing.

it's a fine album, tainted only minimally by the vocal presence of Zooey Deschanel. M. Ward, can't wait to hear you at Bumbershoot; please leave her home

This album seems like a readers digest version of M. Ward. The songs seem shorter than his other albums, but that just makes them short, sweet, and to the point. It's still the awesome M. Ward sunny california sound but maybe without all the extra interludes we usually get from him. I don't think there's such a thing as a bad M. Ward album...and this one sticks to that rule.

Sweethart sounds as if it belongs in the background of a movie with no point.....may i say Wayne's World or Napolean's Dynamite???

There's an easter egg somewhere in the album. I don't think M. Ward would want me to disclose any more information. But anyway, the first time I listened to the CD I adored it, the second time I cherished it, and the third time I absoluetly fell in love.

I only listen to M. Ward when I'm sad; but I'm sad all the time, so I listen the whole night through, yeah, I listen in the daytime, too.
