  • This is NOT LRB

This is a cover band making a living off the Little River Band name. Frontman Wayne Nelson is the only current member to play with any of the originals which he is not one of. While this band has some talented musicians, it's truly sad, pathetic and a mis-representation for them to call themselves LRB.

I saw them in concert over the weekend, and they BLEW the roof off the place!!!! They played two "new" songs from this album "The Lost and the Lonely" & "I'm a Island" did a great job on both. So after the show I decided to stop by the table get the CD have it autographed..... On the drive home I played it. What a great album! They sound amazing, it's A/C pop but most of their music is, this is real music played by outstanding musicians not the computerized stuff that's called music today. If you like LRB by this CD you won't be disappointed, I will listen to it for years to come.

please dont just live in the past. Progress WITH LRB. I had the privalage of seeing them Live this past year. They are still spot on. could have been listening to a studio recording . They still have it. Wayne is a class act. hey all you 50 year olds( you know who you are. you grew up in the 80S like me) want to fell young again, then put LRB on your play list and you will!!!!

I remember all their songs from the 70's. Loved them then and love them now! Wayne Nelson has an incredible voice! Rock on!
  • LRB by the numbers

No original members and key classic songwriters involved. Just sounds like a bunch of people got together and tried so hard to be LRB but it just doesn't cut it. Some talent here and a few decent songs but it just seems forced and fake. Too bad the worrd will never see a legitimate LRB reunion/new studio album. Please don't spend your hard earned money on forged second rate LRB LRB will always be David Briggs, Derek Pellicci, Glenn Shorrock, Graeham Goble, Beeb Birtles and George McArdle/Barry Sullivan.

Regardless of who now occupies the once unoccupied musical positions of The Little River Band, this album holds it's own when placed against LRB tracks of the past. I recommend this album to anyone who has followed the history of LRB. Music is a business, and as such, employees come and go. Buy the album. You won't be disappointed. JD Wages

Reading some of the reviews I was wondering if I should purchase this new album, sooo glad I did. Their harmonies on love is, and you dream I'll drive are classic little river band. Lost and lonely could be a hit on the radio right now. Great album guys, so glad you put out another one!!!

I'm an original lineup fan too and enjoy this new album very much. "Someone" in particular is an unbelievable gorgeous song. I lurk on some of the most rabid anti-LHB forums you can imagine and even many of them are giving this album good reviews. It's definitely worth a listen, and it's sad that you can't hear music like this on radio anymore.

First off, if we don't consider the history of LRB and just look at this album as a stand alone item, what we have here is a nice selection of soft rock/pop music preformed by quality musicians, hence my 4 star rating. We as fans do not have the privilege of knowing all the inside info as to what exactly happens when members leave of get kicked out of groups. This is NOT the LRB of my youth but the musucuans that wrote and made that music are still out there. Beeb Birtles, Glenn Sherrock and Graeham Gobel (BSG) have done solo projects and preforme together doing the LRB classics. Mr Gobel even wrote the song "Someone's stolen our history" on his 2006 solo project "The Days Ahead" about Wayne "stealing" that band from them. We can argue all day about what happened and who the "real" LRB is and it changes nothing. Enjoy this new music for what it is or reject it because you can't seperate it from the past, if that is your choice, break out the old albums and keep "Reminiscing"

Another group sold their soul to try and cash in on country dollars.
