Think of this CD as the first time you tried sushi. After discovering the spicy tuna roll, you move on to move complex dishes. Start at track 6 "To Try for the Sun" and then loop back to the first track. It took some time for me to understand and dig on "Not Too Late" - after watching him perform this one in-person, I was able to appreciate (and actually really like it). This is a BRILLIANT work of art.

This is an amazing record! (Think Tusk....not Rumours) Buckingham's blazing finger picking and wonderful melodies are borderline brilliant. His cover of The Stones "I'm Waiting" and Donovan's "To Try For The Sun" are so well done they sound like Buckingham originals. "Down on Rodeo" is a wonderfully melodic track that you'll play again and again.

Umm... Excuse me to the post that referred to Lindsay being a "backup singer". Have you EVER heard of uh.. Fleetwood Mac? Rumours? Second Hand News, Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop? He wasn't a backup singer, hon.

Im suprised to read a few negative reviews for this CD. It is definitely an album that you need to listen to a couple times to completely appreciate. This will be a classic in no time. Buy this, you won't be disappointed!

I bought this album after reading that is was on some best of 2006 album list. I don't know what they were thinking. It is my least favorite iTunes purchase and my least listened to.
  • Guitar Work Like Few Others

Buckingham is a great guitarist and an excellent backup singer. He doesn't have the pipes to be a lead singer. When he is the lead singer, his work is campy and his voice overpowers the wonderful fretwork that made him so famous. Its a shame he doesn't do an instrumental album.

I recently had the opportunity to see Lindsey Buckingham on his Under the Skin tour where he played several of these songs. I can't even tell you how impressed I was with him. I purchased the songs the next day. I love the cd especially Cast Away Dreams. This music is very unique and brilliant.

I saw Lindsey in concert promoting this album and was really suprised how much I liked his new material. This is a man who's passion for music across in his performance and lyrics. I love Show You How and Cast Away Dreams. I hope that this artist will continue performing live and that I have the opportunity to see him again, it was truly magical.

I can't remember the last time a collection of tunes got into my head the way this one has. The lyrics are intelligent and moving, the guitar work is superb, very reminiscent of the Buckingham Nicks classic from 1973. The vocals are tricked up a bit in the studio but in an erie, intimate manner. There is alot going on in these songs and they are best appreciated through a good set of headphones.

I love Lindsey dearly, but I have no praise at all for this release. I buy everything he has ever done. I even own a Holiday Road 12 inch, and I love it, but this album just doesn't work on any level. I've loved most of every release that he's put out, even his 2nd album, but not this one. Sorry my man And why are there 2 different versions? I bought my copy in a real record store, and I don't have Go Your Own Way(Live). Unfair
