This is very bland and predictable. I prefer Dead or Alive's orginal material. They need to draft in a new songwriter if they are no longer able to write original material. They didn't bring anything fresh to these cover versions - it's really no better than the preditable stuff that they produce on the Glee TV show - basically it's Pete singing Karoake.

This three tracks are off DOA's recent studio effort, Fragile from 2000. Where is the rest of Fragile and why isn't it on here along with Nukleopatra?
But anyway, this tracks are NOT I repeat NOT from 2007, but from 2000. And these aren't the best songs from DOA either, Pete's voice is so obscured and to me they are just bland. Not Dead or Alive's best work at all.

Pete Burns's contributions to various tribute albums are collected here in this E.P. All three succeed mightily. A good cover, IMO, should inform and transform the original--keep the spirit of the original while infuse it with your own style--and all three of these songs do so admirably. Prince cover Pop Life is the best of the three, turning a poppy melody into an Eastern-style dance number while maintaining the melancholy of the original.

Pete, we love you know matter what. your voice and life is amazing. Impress the fans now. Go on a world tour. I know there was some problems getting into the US back then, but come to Seattle. I have all the music and you as a musician always made life happy, even though life gets rough.
