A year later Dead or Alive pulls the next album, Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know. The album has alot to offer and has some catchy songs such as, "Brand New Lover", "I'll Save You All My Kisses", "Son of a Gun", "Then There was You", "Come Inside", Something in my House", and "Hooked on Love". Of course this album does have weak points with songs like, "I Want You" and "Special Star" but this shouldn't stop you from having a good time with this album. Although none of the songs attained the fame "You Spin Me Round(Like a Record" did in 1985, they still are quite catchy and should provide for a crazy party. Pete Burns and Dead or Alive does it again with synth-pop masterpiece Mad, Bad, and Dangerous to Know.

  • Mediocre poppy follow-up to Youthquake

After two classic albums, Sophisticated Boom-Boom and Youthquake, DOA returned with this much more poppy follow-up, discarding the last of their dark sythnpop and going completely pop. Despite two strong singles, Something In My House & Brand New Lover, the album suffers from weak hooks and excruciating lyrics. Musical laziness abounds, and DOA see fit to rip off popular artists of the 80s, from Stacey Q to Robert Palmer, from Madonna to Bon Jovi and Expose! It doesn't work, and the lyrics frankly seem written for a teenage girl to sing. Fail. Things would quickly get worse, however, with later albums Nude and Fan The Flame.

This one of the better Stock, Aitken and Waterman productions. Along with Kylie Minogue, Bananarama and Rick Astley just to name a few. Buy this D.O.A album you won't be disappointed

An excellent dance pop album that nearly defines what the mid 80's were about. Brand New Lover was the big hit single and remains a pop classic.

This album is undoubtedly some kind of cheesy classic. No duds. A time capsule of a perfect 80's moment It will always have a special place in my heart, however, as the record singled out by the whiny guy who lived downstairs as the one album that drove him crazy, shaking the ceiling with its endless robotic thump. So if you have some neighbors to annoy...
