  • In my humble opinion...

…this is AP's best work. And, it's also my all time number one album. Many of these songs can wreck me no matter what mood I find myself in. After the Last Tear Falls is gorgeous (it's a co-write with another personal favorite and talented songwriter, and another Andrew - Andrew Osenga). The artistry and talent is evident all over the album. If you're a fan of Andrew's most recent albums, don't hesitate to buy this.
  • Fantastic album. Get it!

This one is a little more CCM sounding than Andrew's past folk driven efforts. However, it's still far better than most of the crummy Christian music out there right now.
  • My favorite AP album

Andrew Peterson has a knack for creating wonderful, deep, Christian folk music that pulls you in and requires more than one play to absorb and Love & Thunder is the perfect example of that talent. Pillar of Fire, High Noon, and After the Last Tear Falls are my favorites on this album but you can't go wrong with any of these songs.

"Just As I Am" thrills my heart and brings a smile everytime I listen to it. Salvation; sanctification; struggles of life; and God's promise of eternal life...Oh yes, He loves me he does!! "The Silence of God" is incredible!

This album is one of Andrew Peterson's best. Well, I think they're all "the best", because they are all, each and every one of them, very lyrically prolific, authentic, and articulate all the things you feel in your heart, but just cannot voice. From "Canaan Bound" to "After the Last Tear Falls", you will find yourself identifying with every song on some level. If you're thinking about buying this album, do! Buy all of AP's other albums, too, because they are worth it.
  • Brilliant, beautiful, and Solid from beginning to end

This is (possibly with the exception of his Christmas project) Andrew's best album in my opinion. And that's saying something. "High Noon" is an amazing anthem, "Just As I Am" tells wonderfully of God's love for us, "Family Man"...they're really all amazing.
  • Fantastic Effort!

Andrew Peterson is an artist in every sense of the word. While listening to his work one cannot help but see the drama unfold as he tells his stories. AP is very honest in his writing and isn't afraid to be vulnerable when it comes to sharing his faith, and sometimes his questions of faith. Add to these observations the fact that the music is terriric, and you can't go wrong with Love & Thunder. It doesn't hurt that he has another on my favorite artists in Jill Phillips singing harmony on this effort.
