I'am sure glad that these tapes are no longer lost because they include some of the best Ferguson that I have ever heard

For years we've heard about and seen the thought to be unrecorded arrangement of "Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me", and we finally get it! A few imitators have tried, but none can equal the boss.

Maynard is performing some very rare recordings on this album. These have all previously been unreleased. Maynard and his band play incredibly on every track. I highly recommened adding this to your collection.

Maynard's records were awesome. Maynard live was a religious experience. This album captures his essence. We can hear his connection with his audience. We hear his almost primal approach to the craft. This is an organic album. All true devotees need to add this to the collection. You will not be disappointed.

I always thought Maynard's studio recording of this in the early 60's was his best work in terms of pyrotechnics and "chops"...But this live version of it recorded later when most (myself included) had thought he was still real great (but still not quite as good as his younger days) serves notice that he was capable of topping even that performance when he really wanted to. The sheer power in the last chorus is stunning...I can't imagine anyone topping this performance. Worth the price of the whole album to hear.. Ty
