be patient, it's rewarding

This was my first SP album. Probably not a great idea, since it's just about the most inaccesible thing ever. If you're new to Skinny Puppy, I suggest you start off with... something else. This album, in my opinion, tops Too Dark Park. It is darker, more abstract, more horrifying. Not as catchy, but definitely more rewarding if you listen to it enough to understand it. The only reason I'm making that comparison is because TDP is considered the Skinny Puppy masterpiece, while Cleanse Fold and Manipulate is often overlooked as a development in SP's sound. I do not recommend you buy one or two songs, because the album is really intended to be heard as a whole (I always get shivers hearing Epilogue after all the preceding songs) and every song is flawless. But my favorite tracks are Second Tooth, Addiction, First Aid, Draining Faces, Tear or Beat, and Epilogue. This album seems beyond music to me, this album is art of the highest and most abastract kind. But it is an aquired taste.
