Skinny Puppy are the kings of industrial music. They are pretty hardcore and give Trent Reznor a run for his money. If you want your industrial dark, then get it period.

SP was at the top of their game when they made this album. It's deep synths and melodic vocals and beats are incredible. My uncle listened to shore lined poision which is the true example of SP's potential and was amazed. The vocals and samples are amazing. The industrial noise comes on soft and heavy this stands in line as the best, preceding is VIVI, before that is rabies, and before rabies is Last words or hope I forget sorry. Mythmaker and TGWOTR is not the same I hope their next album can make my head move In melodic rythim like this one

This album sends me into convulsions every time that I listen to it. The music itself is genuinely amazing, and there it is filled with some great atmospheric melodies. The lyrics are not the only thing that makes this industrial masterpiece what it is. It is about the destruction of human nature and what ends we bring with us, and every song is topped with layers and layers of industrial noise. Behind it all there is even more to be seen. This is an album that needs to grow on you, but it is something that is easy to take a liking to from the first or second listen. Every time that you listen to it, more and more can be seen. It is something that will continue to grow on you until you ultimately understand it. And then you can finally appreciate all that it took to make this album. It is exceptional in every way...you will not find another album like this!

this was my very first puppy album. a friend gave it to me and said listen to it in the dark. well i took his advice. scared the hell out of me. this album is what industrial should be. its nearly 20 years old nd its still amazing and refreshing to hear.

This may be the best Puppy record ever. Skinny Puppy were at the top of their game on this one and it shows. The main difference between Too Dark and their other records is that most of the material here is very catchy. It is far from being a pop record but for the beginner this is an excellent choice.
