Like someone mentioned in another review, the "hits" from this album are better on Live! You Get What You Play For, but end-to-end I think this is one of REO's best albums. The instrumental Flying Turkey Trot is probably the low point as it doesn't capture any of the live energy at all. Even with that, every song on this album is worth a listen.
  • Hopefully the producer retired after this album

Most of these songs are featured on You Get What You Play For. Each "Live" version is significantly better than it's studio predecessor. Is it possible that the band would have broke nationally if this collection of songs had been produced appropriately .

I was wondering why this album had been missing from the REO I-tunes catalogue, considering that it's a very good album and quite significant in that it marks Kevin Cronin's return to the band after an extended hiatus. Okay, Kevin may be a major DINK, but the band's success without him was quite limited indeed, and Golden Country was arguably their strongest number up until this reunion. A lot of good stuff here, Keep pushin'...I believe our... Turkey Trot....
