I loved Good Monsters but I don't know, I thought this a bad choice to release. Not great recordings. I know it's live but the quality isn't there. Dan's voice isn't there at this concert either. I wish they would have either spent more time getting this cd ready or would have picked a different concert. I did love the end of "Light Gives Heat." Very Bono.

Good monsters was such a good album that I couldn't help but be excited to have some of the live moments from the tour captured. I got the only in concert version earlier, so I was even glad for a couple other tracks. Which begs the question....couldn't you just have made a complete live CD? I would love to have all 10 of the Good Monster songs performed in concert, as well as Love Me.
however, these 7 songs are great. Work sorta sounds like Dan has a cold and I think the mix is off in a couple places on Good Monsters; but this collection has been making me happy since I got it because it reminds me of what a great time I had seeing Jars live this year. They are an INCREDIBLE band and I love the songs they have brought to us here.
Live Monsters is a wonderful little collection of live songs.

I was excited to hear Jars was releasing some live tracks from Good Monsters. The album has really grown on me as some of Jars best stuff. Definitely a rocking album from start to finish.
"Suprise" and "Light Gives Heat" are 2 lesser known songs that shouldn't be looked over. Of course, the heavy played Dead Man and newer hit "Work" do not disappoint. I agree with the other reviews; See Jars of Clay live the first chance you get...but Live Monsters will get you by until then...

Jars of Clay is the most awesome band! Their music is trend setting. If you have never heard Jars of Clay, I would highly recommend purchasing any of their CD's. You will not be disappointed.
Live Monsters is just as good or better as the recordings!

This CD is exceptional not only because of the musicianship of the band, but because I can picture their faces and dance moves live from my couch! I urge anyone and everyone to buy this CD.

I have seen Jars of Clay perform live 5 times, and they were amazing each concert. We all know hearing a song live is a completely different experience from listening to a recorded album. Live Monsters captures many of the aspects of live concerts and brings back fond memories for me. Great for your JOC collection. 2 thumbs up! Can't wait for my 6th live experience!
