I love how Nobuo Uematsu is able to effortlessly craft his pieces into just about any arrangement; piano, orchestra, MIDI, you name it. He's a true musical genius who is so underrated it's disappointing. Here we have untalented, synthesized idiocy streaming the radiowaves nowadays, when truly gifted musicians like Uematsu go almost entirely unnoticed. It saddens me. At any rate, it's amazing to hear these as piano compilations. In my honest opinion, I think Square is REQUIRED to remake FFVII for the sole purpose of Uematsu re-creating his incredible soundtrack with a full orchestra. That, to me, would be truly great. Theres nothing he can't do, that's for sure. These songs are proof that he's as talented as any of the legendary artists in history. I give him 10000 stars all the way.

I came into the final fantasy world last year. I am making my way through the game. so far, I have only bought the main theme, but it was the only song I have ever started to tear up during the preview.

Tifa and Aerith's themes are So beautiful, you would think the world just stood still when you listen to them. That's how amazing they are! Nobuo Uematsu and the Guys at Square music are the most amazing composers I have ever heard! Just listen and be amazed!

If you enjoyed the FF VII soundtrack, and the game for that matter, this is a perfect sample of some of the best pieces from the soundtrack, stripped bare and with even more emotion.
  • Amazing!

Beautiful, gripping piano. One of the best piano collections made so far. The theme "Jenova" is really striking, I'm surprised it's not listed among the more popular tracks. Nonetheless, these piano pieces are nothing short of excellent. If you like Final Fantasy VII, these songs are a very good buy.
  • Piano Collection FTW!

This is definetly an excellent transition from synthesizers to piano. The common songs (Aeris's theme, Tifa's Theme...those known from FFAC) are great, but its the ones which linger within that seem to be the best. I suggest the Main Theme, J-E-N-O-V-A, and The Battle Theme for anyone looking to gain the largest enjoyment possible from Nobuo's magic! Definetly worth the entire album purchase!

Well, I'm a bit disappointed that the Turks' theme wasn't here, as I would love to hear Uematsu perform THAT on the piano, but this album certainly grasps the beautiful grace of the Final Fantasy VII original soundtrack. Of course, Uematsu did an excellent job re-making his own beautiful creations. This entire album is a must have. I must say, however, that I'm not too fond of One Winged Angel. It's very talented, naturally, but I just don't like it as much as the other songs on this album, and certainly not as much a some of the other versions of One Winged Angel that Uematsu has done before. Nevertheless, buy this album, if you enjoy FInal Fantasy VII, and/or the music from it. You'll like at least a few of these songs, guarenteed.
