I just noticed Machine is spelled "Mashine" other than that, I love this album. But I do want Eyes On Me...

This release contains some truly fantastic fully-orchestrated arrangements of some of the more memorable songs from the game. Definitely a "must-have" for any fan of the game and its music, Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec cotains orchestration and performances of high enough caliber that the release stands on its on. These version would please even those unfamiliar with the game or its soundtrack. One minor note: this release DOES contain the full, intact version of the game's ending theme, which contains a wonderful rendition of the game's theme, "Eyes On Me", as performed by Faye Wong. Many of the reviews shown for this release which claim otherwise were likely written prior to the relicensing of the iTunes Music Store catalog, at which point many of the "bits n' pieces" albums saw full, unedited releases. This is one of those relases. Enjoy!

Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec is one of the best songs I've bought, its creepy tone is perfect for dark feelings.

This album is good. Seirously, the songs are beautiful, and I would give it 5 stars, except-- WHERE'S EYES ON ME BY FAYE WONG?? The 'album review' says that there are THREE VERSIONS of Eyes on Me!! But do I see even ONE version? No, as a matter of fact I do NOT! That song is beautiful, and IN THE GAME, so you'd think that it would be on at least ONE of the CD's, but I can't find it ANYWHERE on iTunes. What is up with this?? It's a great album, but it needs Eyes on Me to be complete!

Look, if you want FFVIII music, don't buy the full OST unless you really want all the music from the game, even the annoying repetitive ones. Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec has really all of the best tracks, in arranged versions, too, which I, personally, think is better. True, it doesn't have "Eyes On Me," but neither does the OST that is sold here in the store either. "Blue Fields," which annoyed the heck out of me in the game after a while, has been redone beautifully into a track I actually enjoy. The only problem I have is that in the track "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec," there is an odd, non-melodic, lilting voice singing something out of tune at the end, but other than that, I love it. I highly recommend it, especially since even the rest of the people I live with, who hated it when I played FFVIII because they couldn't stand the music, liked it.
  • Classical Grandeur

Outside of Uematsu's own "Grand Finale," there is no other arrange album that comes as close to effectively utilizing the orchestra as Fithose Lusec Wecos Vinosex does. However, unlike most soundtrack arrangements, orchestrations, and remixes, the tracks within this album remain true to form towards their OST counterparts. Contrasting sharply with other soundtrack composers, like Yasunori Mitsuda, and even other Uematsu arrange albums, the composer keeps the original sanctity of each track in tact; this works marvels in adding a depth, both emotionally and phonically, that is unable to be reached in the originals, given the conventions in electronic gaming music at the time. Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec is one of the few albums high enough to be standard for those expanding their VGM library beyond the OST.

The songs aren't all exatly the same as the game, and at first it made me upset, but after comparing the songs in the album and the songs in the game, the album songs are mostly better. Songs Worth purchasing ( Best 2 Good) (1. being Best & 8. being Good) 1. Liberi Fatali 2. The Man With the Mashine Gun 3. Don't Be Afraid 4. Dance with Balamb-fish 5. Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec (has some random parts, game version is better) 6. Fisherman's Horizon/ Balamb Garden-Ami (both worth getting, just depends what you like better) 7. Blue Fields 8. Love Grows/ The Oath (same situation as 6.) ("The Oath" is better to me but sometimes I like " Love Grows" more) 9. Ending Theme (Long, Boring) 10. Fragments of Memories ( Don't reconize theme from the game and it goes by slow)

This album is absolutely wonderful. For anyone who loves the music in FF8, to hear it fully realized in the glory that is an orchestra is eargasmic. Yes, Liberi Fatali and the ending theme were already orchestrated in the ost and the addition of them is redundant, but would i seriously consider giving this album anything less than a perfect score for such little imperfections? of course not. if you love yourself you will purchase this NOW!
