I love this soundtrack. It has every song you can imagine for FFIV(known as FFII in the Americas) I spent one hour listening to Final Battle. I was there for every single character. I felt Edge’s anger when his parents died. I felt sadness for Tellah’s death. I felt every single character’s feelings in the moment. Get this soundtrack and if you played FFIV you will feel the nostalgia from this soundtrack.
  • I Really Liked the Remake version...

Not only was it... cleaner sounding and more natural, but it gave me (I’m not sure for other people) a more clear emotion when listening to the Remake, especially for the main theme. But I’m not to sad, but for now I’m going to see if your going to make the Remake version. If you do make it it would be a total waste if I already bought it. But I am thankful that you made ONE Album. I think I’ll wait a few months. Oh, and also if you do make a Remake can you Add The Mysterious Girl Song from The After Years? Others too like the Final Boss. If you do thanks! I have been looking over and over at iTunes, frustrated and sad about the “No Remake”. Sorry to rant. I have nothing else to do. I can’t find the Mysterious Girl song (Pretty much the Fat Chocobo) in The After Years, and the only way I can actually listen to the Remakes are in the actual Game on the Lunar Whale (With the Electronic Fat Chocobo in the back) I am so really Desperate right now, I can’t even find some of the EXACT versions of the songs like Within The Giant on SoundCloud. Argh! Can you PLEASE make The Remake?!

This is one of my Top 5 favorite video game soundtracks. It fits the game very well as you play along in the game.

FFVI was by far my favorite from the series.. beautiful pieces of music, only if they were length size like "Red Wings".. 2:06, not most go past 1 minute.. eh, IT'S STILL AMAZING!
  • Save your money, SE is remastering this!

Square-Enix is remastering this exact soundtrack "unedited" on a 2 CD set in July 2013. I don't know when but it will get here to iTunes just wait. FF4 Is one the best all-time games and soundtracks, this is my personal favorite. Unfortunatly back in 1991 when they made this master, due to CD limation of fitting 74 min which is not enough for this soundtrack, they opted to edit most of the songs so they loop 1.5 times (fade out in the middle of a loop, RIDCICULOUS!) and to completly cut off a lot of the music! So this one is missing songs and most are edited badly. The new July 2013 remaster will be unedited, 2 CDs worth and contain the tracks that were cut off this one. It's a shame that they really screwed up one of the best FF soundtracks, but at least they are finally fixing it!
  • The greatest Final Fantasy of them ALL!!!

Ok lets just go on record and say that I am favoring this one over all else becasue your first Final Fantasy is always your favorate. So Final Fantasy 4 (FF2 to me when I fist picked it up) was my first RPG really. I first saw this game when my neighbor was playing it I was 9 at the time, I could not believe what I was watching!, and the music was just as captivating. I still find myself hearing the overworld theme and just being put in a state of tranquility. I cheered so hard when Rydia made her return, I was with Cecil when he became the Paladin, and I was feeling the same anger when Tellah was killed. All of that emotion was not possible without this outstanding soundtrack to support it. The easliest Final Fantasy to employ the subtle tones, beautifull themes, and heart pounding battle music that Uematsu has become famous for, is what makes this OST so special. DO NOT! just settle for a few tracks of this shining crystal of an album get it all and you will see what I saw and hear what I hear, absolute artistic greatness. Even after 18 yers this music still gets played in my car and Ipod. I salute you Uematsu!

  • More Skits than Actual Songs

Don't get me wrong, I love the songs on this album. From the first notes of the immortal Prelude to the end of the Epilogue, every song on here is a piece of gold. The problem is, most of them are a little on the short side. A good amount of the songs barely clock one minute, and almost all of them fail to pass two minutes. What's up with that? Other than that, this album is an awesome album, with a bargain price too.

The words "bad" and "Final Fantasy soundtrack" do not belong even remotely close to the same sentence. There is no such thing as a bad FF soundtrack.
